From collections by Skall Studio, The Garment and Stine Goya to inspiring street style, here’s everything we loved …
Fur-Trimmed Sleeves

If the new season silhouette is all about a voluminous arm (you can thank the incoming eighties revival for that), then the jewel in the crown is a faux fur trim on the sleeve. At Copenhagen, style influencers are embracing the look via winter coats or capelets worn over their shoulders as a savvy second layer in the snowy weather. It’s a look that’s been trending at Couture Fashion Week, too: see Kate Moss who stepped out in a vintage fur-trimmed jacket by designer Conner Ives and Jennifer Lawrence at the Dior show.
Dotty Behaviour

We’ll always gravitate towards a polka dot as it’s the kind of classic print, much like leopard, that is so easy-to-wear it practically has neutral status. This striking hand-drawn printed coat, pictured above, is by Sister Jane (find the brand at Brown Thomas and Arnotts); we love how it’s given a bit of personality with some gold brooches.
Stand Studio Coats

A hero coat is the fastest way to make an impact in cold weather so, naturally, a great faux fur is de rigueur for the Copenhagen crowd. Of all the great outerwear that was spotted at fashion week we did notice one brand that reoccurred: Stand Studio. Its super-soft faux furs are so convincing you’ll do a double take while the animal prints are rich and impactful.
Tutu Tailoring

If a ruffled peplum tutu over a suit sounds bonkers, it most likely is. And yet, there’s something about this much-photographed look from the Opéra Sport show that’s stuck with us. Even if you don’t find yourself with the resolve to go full tutu, perhaps it might inspire you to wrap a red knit or pashmina around the waist, à la Matthieu Blazy‘s recent Métiers d’art collection for Chanel, in an effort to break up head-to-toe tailoring.
Mandarin Coats
Amsterdam brand Róhe‘s Mandarin-style faux fur coat has become the outerwear buy loved by Instagram so naturally we took note of it when we saw it on the streets of the Danish capital.
Cream Dreams

The Garment is a Copenhagen brand that’s been on our radar for a while thanks to its streamlined collections which support your capsule wardrobe. (Read an interview with creative director Charlotte Eskildsen here.) For AW26, the collection revolved around cream and black: a colour combination that’s endlessly chic. This cream fringe-trim cape ranks highly on our lust-list for next autumn.
Luxury Shirting

Blue shirting is ubiquitous in Copenhagen, but a true classic always stands out from the crowd. We spotted the ne plus ultra of luxury shirting from Charvet – the world’s first shirt suppliers – on style influencer Annabel Rosendahl.
Earthy Is The New Heritage
Images: Instagram @skallstudio.
A true Copenhagen favourite, Skall Studio reimagined heritage for next season – think: barn jackets with XL lapels and glossy riding boots – but any notions of stuffiness were eschewed for an unabashed earthiness. The show took inspiration from literary sensation and author of Out Of Africa Karen Blixen; in a nod to the Danish author who famously loved flowers, muscari bulbs, still sprayed with moss, adorned attendees’ chairs at the brand presentation. Alongside beautiful floral corsages, we were taken by the do-it-all belts in rich conker shades from which hung bandana scarves and, even, small bags. We could imagine a pair of secateurs hanging from one of these leather belts, too: Blixen would approve.

Cow Prints

Teetering on the edge of popularity for the last few seasons, cow prints have a sleek appeal when splashed across extra long scarf coats. Do as the Copenhagen set does and keep the rest of your outfit effortlessly chic (that is: stick to black).
