Payday shopping hits differently these days. Thanks to the prolonged good weather, there’s an extended kind of joie de vivre to what we’re buying. Pre-fall is on the horizon but it feels rather serious – too crisp; we’re still into creased fabrics and mussed up hair – for our liking. Instead, we’re diverted by the fizz of unnecessary things that seem wholly necessary as July romps into August.
It’s this playfulness that permeates both our wardrobes and our homes.
