14 Luxe Spring Outfit Ideas, Inspired By Instagram’s Most Stylish

A change in season triggers a severe bout of what-to-wear-itis in all of us. Try these spring outfit ideas for instant relief …

The hottest jacket of the moment? It’s chinoiserie-inspired and resembles a boudoir jacket. Look to buzzy designer Conner Ives who has been worn by Kate Moss, Zoë Kravitz, Alexa Chung and Jennifer Lawrence.

Top of our wish-list for spring is a highly-coveted Celine leather buckle belt that nods to our current appetite for offbeat, statement accessories. Team it with a trench coat or double denim.

If you’ve spent the last few months languishing in oversized shapes then now is the time to rediscover tailored fits. A blazer that nips at the waist and a pair of fit-and-flare jeans (a novel alternative to the season’s barrel and baggy shapes) are a good basis for a spring outfit. Team them with a low-maintenance block heel for added polish.

We’re seeing white T-shirts and lace-trim skirts everywhere, but this styling – note the point-toe boots and maximalist bangles – feels special.

Trade up the standard LBD for an LRD – that is, a long red dress. Last summer’s bucolic dresses are being upgraded for sleek column cuts that are inspired by ’90s shapes. See this linen style by British label With Nothing Underneath.

SS26 is the season of blue trousers that aren’t jeans. See style influencer Monikh in this utilitarian pair of cargos.

When it comes to jeans-and-pretty-top outfits, a boho blouse is a style signature for spring. Recycle one from previous years and update it with fresh accessories. Think: a dark, woven basket bag, a silk scarf or a pair of oval sunglasses.

While vintage-look white skirts – replete with broderie anglaise details and eyelets – are trending, we love them most when contrasted with an oversized leather jacket.

Make a slinky slip dress an easy-to-wear proposition by teaming it with black ballet flats and a knit draped across your shoulders, in the vein of Dakota Johnson.

When it comes to outfit formulas, a crisp trench coat, a fail-safe basket bag and a pair of trending boat shoes are a solid spring look.

A utilitarian tan suede jacket may be an off-duty go-to but it’s uplifted by swapping out trainers for point-toe heels for sunny days.

Get the mileage out of a trusty blazer with these inspiring spring outfit ideas from Lucy Williams.

A double shirt situation – as demonstrated by style influencer Marie von Behrens-Felipe – is a novel take on spring layering which is essential at this time of year.

When it comes to jeans, we’re zoning in on true-blue denim teamed with tonal shades. See J Crew’s creative director Olympia Gayot who wears the J Crew x Lee Jeans collaboration with aplomb. (We’re also noting the chic, oversized eyewear, too.)
