Watch a film of Chanel’s new haute couture collection today at 1pm …
To mark the Chanel Spring Summer 2022 Haute Couture show, the heritage fashion house has commissioned a series of short films that embody the harmonies between horse and rider. Directed by French contemporary artist Xavier Veilhan and scored to music composed by musician Sébastien Tellier, it stars accomplished horse rider and It girl Charlotte Casiraghi, a Monégasque model, writer and equestrian who is also eleventh in line to the throne of Monaco. A clip from one of the films, below, shows Casiraghi wearing a black tweed jacket from the Chanel Spring Summer 2022 Haute Couture collection. Designed by creative director of Chanel Virginie Viard, a sneak peek at the clothes promises a collection that nods to all the hallmarks of classic Chanel; the colour black, the tweed jacket and a refined simplicity.
No stranger to commissioning arresting and ethereal short films, in autumn of last year Chanel created a series of Manga-inspired, animated shorts to mark its Métiers d’art show. You can watch the film of the new Chanel haute couture collection, below, where it will be streamed live at 1pm today (Irish time).
