Inside the exclusive preview of Arnotts’ SS26 collection …
THE GLOSS Contributing Editor Sarah Macken discussed the latest trends and brands on offer with Head of Fashion Buying at Brown Thomas Arnotts Tracey Despard, who said that the key focus for spring and summer is the consideration for the customer in all areas of her life. “At Arnotts, the seasonal collections are a nod to how our customer lives now. Whether she’s going to a wedding, heading away for the weekend or mastering her 9-to-5 look, there is something for each part of her life so that she can have fun and, ultimately, be inspired by fashion.”
From contemporary brands like Essentiel Antwerp splashing primary shades across jackets, blouses and lightweight summer knits to Damson Madder playing with polka dots and Danish favourite Ganni going wild with animal print, this year’s mood is joyful and ultra-wearable.
Another Danish stalwart, Malina‘s sleek bias-cut dresses, skirts and cropped jacquard jackets are the trifecta of chic: airy, minimal and luxurious. Róisín Linnane’s playful pieces and Sister Jane‘s stunning embellishments make the perfect occasionwear.
Max & Co, Marella and Weekend Max Mara‘s do-it-all jackets are the definition of utilitarian luxe, while buzzy brand Adanola brings a blend of lifestyle and athleisurewear. Not forgetting the iconic Ted Baker that makes a triumphant return with its strongest collection yet across womenswear.
In menswear, Gant, Polo Ralph Lauren and Boss feel new thanks to a considered styling approach that references SS26 runways. The launch of RLX Ralph Lauren presents performance-driven classic pieces, while Profuomo and Deus Ex Machina nail off-duty dressing.
In accessories, spring’s hero handbags include new to Arnotts Mulberry, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Valentino, Kate Spade and Joanne McNally’s Anxious Preoccupied brings its sell-out XL carry-alls back for the season. Not to mention Kurt Geiger footwear to take you from day to night.
At the preview, attendees included THE GLOSS Style Editor Aislinn Coffey, Jodie Wood, Corina Gaffey, Louise Cooney, Ciara O’Doherty, Debbie O’Donnell, Cathy O’Connor, Aoife Dunican, Sarah Rickard, Isobel Gleeson and Kwanele Nomoyi.
