The Style Icon Experience, Killashee Hotel, Co Kildare

A trio of treats is combined in this experience that includes a two-night stay at the Killashee Hotel, where pampering is on the agenda, from Prosecco to a spa treatment and dinner in one of its restaurants (I recommend The Pippin Tree). The hotel is a great base from which to explore the Museum of Style Icons at Newbridge Silverware, where its collections include pieces worn by stars past and present (Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Victoria Beckham and Angelina Jolie) displayed alongside the Princess Diana collection, and the Irish Costume Archive featuring pieces from films such as The Banshees of Inisherin. After the exhibition, enjoy afternoon tea served at the Silver Restaurant and avail of a 20 per cent discount in the Newbridge Silverware store. Check out the great selection of vintage jewellery and scarves, too. The style experience continues with a visit to Kildare Village to browse the boutiques with a VIP card and the added convenience of a chauffeur-driven service to enhance your stay. From €350 per person. @killasheehotel

Orla Kiely: A Life In Pattern, National Design & Craft Gallery, Kilkenny

“My dream was always to create a style with a strong sense of identity, a visual language that sparked joy. Pattern has always been absolutely central to this – my life is pattern,” Orla Kiely said at the launch of a new exhibition in her honour, which also marks a significant milestone – 30 years after launching the brand. Open from 10am to 5.30pm until July, it explores all aspects of Orla’s creative output, from lifestyle and fashion ranges to her idiosyncratic use of colour, detail and pattern. It draws on an extensive archive and visitors can see her sketches, moodboards and samples of her iconic designs. @dccireland @ndcgallery @orlakiely

The Cinematic Thread: From Screen to Craft, Powerscourt House

With awards season in full swing, a complementary exhibition of interest to cinephiles is “The Cinematic Thread” at Powerscourt House, which runs until March. This highlights the creativity of local artisans and pays tribute to Wicklow’s rich cinematic legacy. There are 17 costumes on display, from Rachel Weisz’s monochrome gown as Lady Sarah in The Favourite to period costumes from Little Women, David Copperfield and The Tudors; all preserved by the Irish Costume Archive Project. Combine a visit with a romantic walk around the Powerscourt Estate and a cuppa at Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa. @powerscourthotel

Styled By Sarah Rickard, The Club Hotel at Goffs

On March 1, stylist Sarah Rickard will be joined by life coach Sinead Mooney, personal branding expert Jennie McGinn and professional home organiser Hazel Burton. The aim of the afternoon is all about renewing mind, home and wardrobe for the spring season ahead. Guests will discover new ways to refresh their personal style, transform their wardrobe and embrace an empowering mindset. Tickets are on sale at www.styledby.ie for €50. @styled_by_sarah_rickard

Royal Style in the Making, Hillsborough Castle, Co Down

This exhibition in the Stable Yard Gallery at Hillsborough Castle opens on March 15, described as “an intimate glimpse into the working relationship between fashion designer and royal client”. Originally shown at Kensington Palace in 2021, this abridged version is Historic Royal Palaces’ first royal fashion exhibition at Hillsborough Castle. Highlights include three spectacular gowns created for the late Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to see fabric and embroidery samples as well as original sketches by British designer David Sassoon for Diana, Princess of Wales, and Norman Hartnells’ personal correspondence with the Queen, rom the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection – a treasure trove of over 10,000 items. The exhibition also features a specially commissioned film that delves into the creative collaboration between each designer and their royal client. If popping up to the Castle, combine with a cuppa in local favourite, Arthur’s, or a get some picnic items from Keane’s deli before having a wander around Hillsborough Forest Park. www.hrp.org.uk

The Westbury X Dr David Jack

If your idea of heaven is a results-proven facial, then this springtime exclusive from The Westbury will appeal. They’ve teamed up with London skincare brand Dr David Jack to create a restorative stay package that includes an exclusive facial treatment over the weekend, February 28 to March 2. The Luminous Lift medical-grade facial designed exclusively for The Westbury combines masterful techniques and high-performance formulas to lift and define the skin. Dr David Jack Clinic’s signature dermaplaning is part of the treatment: a non-invasive technique that removes surface impurities and skin build-up to brighten the complexion and optimise the absorption of active skincare. A Korean Golki sculpt massage combines lymphatic drainage and acupressure points to lift facial contours, while relieving jaw tension. The treatment concludes with Dr. Jack’s award-winning skincare, including Good Morning Power-C Serum and All Day Long SPF 50+ Moisturiser. The offer costs €595 for two and includes accommodation in a deluxe king room, breakfast in Wilde and a facial for one guest. @drdavidjack @westburydublin
