We’re longtime fans of white jeans, no matter what the season. So, naturally, we noted Anne Hathaway‘s recent look, which circulated on Instagram, depicting the A-list actress in a Michael Kors pony-hair animal print jacket and a pair of Chloé-inspired clogs (an invariably chic combination). Unsurprisingly, our eyes were instantly drawn to the denim.

Incidentally, Hathaway was actually sporting chalk white lounge trousers by Alo, however it got us thinking about the possibilities of white denim at this time of year. As a transeasonal staple, as a welcome note for longer, brighter days and, most importantly, as a sign of undone cool. White jeans always carry that effervescent, no-cares-given insouciance that we all want to attain. Be it high-low, off-duty or slob chic, no matter the moniker the mood is carefree but still considered. What white jeans are available now? This season’s styles run the gamut from wide legs to skinny flares and cropped kick-flares (a favourite; see the style from Toteme, below).
As a footnote, we’ve always loved clogs, so we’ll take this as a sign to make like Chloé’s Chemena Kamali and pair this ‘ugly shoe’ trend with our most favoured spring looks (provided there are white jeans involved, of course).
