Aislinn Coffey, Style Editor, THE GLOSS
“I choose comfort for Christmas Day – my ideal outfit would be a pair of Olivia Von Halle silk pyjamas, teamed with a pair of Olivia Morris velvet flats for a look that’s elevated, not sleepy,” Coffey says. @aislinncoffeystyleeditor

Corina Gaffey, Stylist
“I think there are two camps when it comes to Christmas Day dressing: you can go all out with glitz or you can go more relaxed, favouring comfort. I’m definitely the latter, preferring an elevated pyjama set for all-day lounging, gift-opening and festive drinks. These aren’t just any old pjs nor are they the pair I rolled out of bed in; more the bougie kind that I’d change into, teaming them with ballet flats,” Gaffey says. “This year, I went for this Damson Madder navy and red set, stored away for Christmas Day. I love the red and navy stripe — it’s such a classic colourway and it’s ideal for when Christmas is over, too. The oversized, vintage-inspired collar of the top with its pink trim and ribbon adds a whimsical, playful touch, and I can see myself wearing it post-festivities with jeans and flats,” she says. @corinagaffey

“My focus for my outfit this year will be new Paula Rowan long black leather opera gloves, which provide the right amount of functional drama. I justified the purchase by saying ‘they’ll be lovely for Christmas Day!’ and I’ll wear them to mass with a great coat. I’ll set these gloves off nicely with this burgundy and gold AndTate two-piece. I already had this shape of skirt in green and love its wide, bell contemporary shape. I asked Sharon [Hoey] to make me this matching cropped top as it has sleeves to the elbow that really show off the gloves. I’ll add this fabric burgundy necklace from Costume (bought about 10 years ago) as I love wearing one colour in different textures. If I’m in a more-is-more mood, I’ll also add old burgundy and gold earrings from Mango to pick up the gold running through the fabric. I will finish the look with suede platform sandals from Russell & Bromley and burgundy tights to add a little edge,” Dunican says. Isabel Gleeson, Colour Consultant
“I am excited to re-wear a fabulous Sister Jane dress this Christmas as it ticks every box for how I want to feel during the holidays. It’s comfortable, a great colour and is true to my style. I’ve also spotted that it comes in chocolate brown and forest green. I love the shape of this party dress and the heavyweight fabric makes it feel very luxurious,” Gleeson says. @styledbyisabel

Emma Kelly, Fashion PR
“On Christmas Day I like to be comfortable and practical, although this year I might dress up a bit more as it is my first-born’s 21st birthday. I imagine I will wear a linen dress from either Kindred of Ireland or Jennifer Slattery, with a bit of sparkle underneath from a Missoni T-shirt from Kildare Village and a pair of Joanne Hynes for Dunnes Stores glittery socks. I am also going to debut my Fiona mule shoes by Bróg – I always try to support Irish design and make conscious purchases that make sense on a cost-per wear-basis,” Kelly says. Teodora Sutra, Model
“I’m all about adding a touch of sparkle and sequins to my wardrobe to embrace the festive spirit, but nothing beats a classic little black dress, paired with a white faux fur coat. To give it a playful, Christmassy twist, I’m wearing mine with dazzling gold polka dot tights from Calzedonia. Tights are such a fun way to elevate a look. We celebrate on Christmas Eve, so our family (there will be five of us this year) always get a little glammed up. This look could easily be made casual for Christmas Day with the addition of flats or, better yet, no shoes!” Sutra says. @teodorasutra
