Do You Have Very Fine Hair? Here’s A New Premium Irish Solution For An Instant Hair Boost

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CASCATA HAIR

Designed by award-winning Irish hair stylist Emma King, Cascata Hair is a premium and sustainable range of luxury clip-in extensions, all made with ethically sourced human hair …

You may think that hair extensions aren’t relevant to you – that they’re solely for brides, perhaps, or girls who want thick tresses of extra hair. In fact, Cascata Hair, a new hair extension brand that’s Guaranteed Irish, is also designed for those with very fine or thinning hair, and people suffering from hair loss, too. Designed by award-winning Irish hair stylist Emma King, Cascata Hair is a premium and sustainable range of luxury clip-in extensions, all made with ethically sourced human hair.

With Cascata (“waterfall”), founder and CEO Emma King wanted to restore women’s “confidence that flows” during periods of thinning hair or hair loss. “As a busy bridal stylist doing more than 80 weddings a year, I started to see there was a big gap in the Irish market for versatile clip-in hair extensions,” she says. And in her Carrickmacross salon, King found she was seeing many clients of all ages who were conscious of their very fine hair, or struggling with hair loss, which can be due to genetic, hormonal, medical or lifestyle changes. “My passion lies with my clientele in the salon,” she says. “And I’ve always had a passion for working with fine hair.” The clip-ins that existed were of poor quality, she says, and it was difficult to find properly matching shades. So King developed her own range of easy-to-apply, effective and reusable hair extensions that you can clip in yourself at home – no need for bonds or tapes.

The result? Extra volume, instantly. One of the advantages is that Cascata clip-ins are very discreet, says King. “You can’t feel them in the hair, they’re light and not at all bulky, and they lie entirely flat on the scalp.” The 100 per cent human hair is ethically sourced, and every single piece has been colour-designed by King. “We worked for more than three and a half years to find the right supplier,” she adds. “We colour all the hair carefully using organic dyes, and there are 19 shades in the range so far, which means we can match 80 per cent of people’s hair. You care for them as you do your own hair, washing and styling them with care. We can also customise the colour to the client’s wishes in our salon if they cannot find their exact shade.’’

“It’s all about hair health,” she continues. “I didn’t want clients back-combing their hair – something you’re advised to do with most hair extensions. And I find that clients who have had their hair damaged by bonds and tapes are turning to these as an alternative, especially those with fine hair. Also, because these can last a lifetime, there is less waste – you’re not throwing them out.” So there’s less environmental waste, as well as less time and money, compared to a half-head of bonded hair extensions that can cost upwards of €300, plus more for removal.

With Cascata Hair, choose from generous full volume sets, or smaller side fillers. “Side fillers are bestsellers for everyone from brides, who want their best-ever hair, or those who just want to add more density and volume, for the extra confidence that bit of extra hair can give you,” says Angie Dromgoole of Zeba Hairdressing, the first Dublin salon to stock the range. “Cascata clip-ins also save you the time and the expense of having them applied and then removed. They are for those who want a little extra hair boost, or who find that full extensions don’t fit into their lifestyle any more.”

Full Volume sets cost from €245-€265; Side Fillers from €125-€140.

Low commitment: Clients can experiment with different lengths, colours and styles – minus a long-term commitment.
