5 Glossy Events To Attend This Weekend

We’re marking our diaries for the upcoming Sisterhood Series taking place at Dundrum Town Centre from Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23. Here’s five treats in store for visitors …

Focusing on the topics of health and wellbeing, parenting and hormones, The Sisterhood Series unfolds across three days in tandem with some prenatal yoga classes at FFS Gym at Dundrum Town Centre. The host for the three-day event is health coach Georgie Crawford, founder of one of Ireland’s leading health and wellness brands, The Good Glow. Her award-winning podcasts, The Good Glow and Soul Sisters have had over nine million downloads.

Who better to help motivate us to take better care of ourselves? Georgie believes by sharing her experiences she can help others to prioritise their wellbeing and create an impact on both their personal and professional lives. She explains: “I’m proud to be a part of The Sisterhood Series, which aims to provide a platform for women to connect, inspire and uplift each other. I believe it’s important that we as women encourage one another, embrace our strengths, celebrate our achievements, and support each other through the good, the bad and the ugly. I am beyond excited to open up taboo conversations with some amazing speakers this weekend and witness the amazing energy that will come from this gathering of women.”

Did you know that contemporary abstract artist Leah Hewson is Brown Thomas Dundrum’s artist-in-residence? Leah has collaborated on an installation Letters To My Future Self on show at the store. Leah says, “I’m delighted to share my collaborative work with Dundrum Town Centre as part of The Sisterhood Series. It’s so great to give the space for women to celebrate each other, empower each other and learn from each other. There’s nothing that can match the energy of when women are in a room together.”

Sign up for a discussion on “Burnout and How To Put It In Reverse” on Sunday at 12pm

This is led by Anita Murray, founder of Edvard & Pink and aromatherapist Peigin Crowley. Peigin’s credentials are also second-to-none. Having designed the acclaimed spa at Adare Manor and developed the private label spa brand for The Cliff House Hotel, her Ground Wellbeing brand is now found in The Rosewood in Hong Kong, St Barth, Hawaii as well as The Four Seasons in Boston, Whistler and Toronto and The Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills and Edinburgh. Her products, which now have cult status, reflect her expertise and passion for promoting purposeful self-care.

Anita Murray is founder and MD of Edvard & Pink which has pioneered treatments supporting adrenal and thyroid imbalances, burnout and anxiety, chronic pain and children’s wellbeing. “I believe as an industry we can really change the health narrative. Increased self-care and working from home were the largest by products that emerged from the past two years. But unfortunately, depression and anxiety significantly increased too. We want to encourage more people to experience holistic and empowering therapies,” she explains. Together Anita and Peigin will address issues such as fertility, anxiety, menopause, insomnia, and gut health and will be discussing our collective sense of fatigue as well as what the common signs and symptoms of burnout are. Tickets for this inspiring session are €30, redeemable at Edvard & Pink. Also included are goodie bags and refreshments. Book here.
