5 Food And Fashion Collaborations Celebrating Irishness

Cool Celtic collaborations …

JW ANDERSON X GUINNESS

Following the resounding success of the inaugural four-piece collaboration in 2024, Guinness and JW Anderson have unveiled a bigger and bolder global capsule collection. The 17-piece collab includes denim workwear – meticulously crafted chore jackets, dungarees and JW Anderson’s signature twisted jeans – directly inspired by Guinness’ vintage brewery uniforms. The familiar textures of pub carpets and bar towels are cleverly translated into jacquards, appliqué and intricate embroidered finishes, creating a tactile feel. The Guinness Gradient Jumper, for example, features gradient yarn in intarsia with a soft alpaca blend evoking the sensory experience of the perfect pint.

BETH O’BRIEN X GUINNESS STOREHOUSE

Irish chef and writer Beth O’Brien, an alumnus of Ballymaloe Cookery School and sous chef at The Fat Badger in Notting Hill, London, created a gorgeous Guinness-inspired menu for the St Patrick’s Festival at the Storehouse, which runs until March 18. Visitors can try her Guinness smoked salmon and cream cheese on soda bread bagel or brown butter toast with poached pears, tonka bean mascarpone, malt custard and hazelnut crunch. Enjoy other delicious delights at various stages of the tour including Porter cheddar puffs and fish finger sandwiches made with coconut fried cod, lime slaw and chipotle aioli on a potato bun. You also can’t miss Claire Prouvost‘s art installations that liven up the home of Guinness.

KERRYGOLD X HEPHEE

Kerrygold has collaborated with Dublin-based designer, art director and illustrator Stephen Heffernan to bring a limited-edition crisp sandwich t-shirt tour to St Patrick’s Day pop-ups in pubs around the world. It started at The Storyteller Pub in Dublin, continuing to O’Reilly’s Irish Pub in Düsseldorf on March 14 and 17, Forester’s Arms in Cape Town on March 15 to 17, and The Auld Shillelagh in London and Wildair in New York on March 17.

NESPRESSO X BAR 1661

Nespresso and award-winning BAR 1661 reunite for a second year on March 14-17 to host masterclasses at Nespresso‘s Dublin and Belfast boutiques where guests can learn how to make Irish-inspired non-alchoholic cocktails including BAR 1661’s Belfast Coffee, the much-celebrated Nespresso Martini with a pistachio twist and a new creation, the Carajillo.

INNÉ JEWELLERY X INDIGO & CLOTH

This Irish jewellery brand specialising in preloved and dead stock gold jewellery’s “Second Story: Irish Icons” pop-up until March 15 is an intimate representation of the quiet power of heirlooms. A photographic series by Katie Kelly accompanies the display with subjects including her mother wearing her grandmother’s jewellery, and podcaster Kevin Twomey wearing his grandmother’s jewellery. The exhibition centres around the recycled gold Fede ring that’s said to pre-date the Claddagh as founder Terri McInerney, who has a BA in Fine Art and over 15 years of experience in the industry, kept this symbol close to her heart to create a piece ten years in the making.
