Try this trending fresh spring shade ….
It’s been a while since a nail colour really dazzled us. Remember when Chanel’s Le Vernis in Particuliere, a beautiful soft mocha brown, was impossible to get hold of for a while? And Ballerina, the palest pointe shoe pink, is always in demand as the perfect natural shade.

This spring, Le Vernis in Artiste (€33, limited edition, at counters nationwide), from Chanel’s spring/summer collection, is one of those nail colours that just calls your name. This cool aqua green sings of spring; it transports us to eating crisp cannoli oozing with pistachio cream with a strong hot coffee in the heart of Palermo.

Closer to home, head to Dolce Sicily in Dun Laoghaire for delicious cannoli and pistachio cakes.
We’re also craving Pistachio Butter, a very decadent way to enjoy the green nuts: Nutty Delights, in George’s Street Arcade, does a beautifully creamy one with no added sugar (€13). Ditch the Nutella and try this vegan, all-natural option instead. Pistachios are full of omegas, vitamin E and antioxidants so they’re a good skincare ingredient too. Nobó does a roasted pistachio version (€7.95) – and you can of course make your own, though it takes a while to shell them all …

Continuing the theme, we noticed that DS & Durga’s Pistachio eau de parfum is available in Dublin now – head to Space NK in Dundrum Town Centre to smell this warm and sweet scent. It was originally a limited edition and much sought-after, with its almondy vanilla nuttiness making it both delicious and a bit unusual (€178).

Marks & Spencer are doing a Pistachio perfume, too, pairing it with tuberose and tonka bean (from €8.25). Their Apothecary range is getting good reviews for being decent quality at reasonable prices, although I haven’t smelled any of them myself yet.

I’m currently trying out some Irene Forte skincare, and love the look of their Pistachio face oil from the B.Corp certified Italian brand (€150), featuring glorious Sicilian pistachio oil.
