At home in Donegal, I hang a wreath on my door all year round and change it to suit the season. I think it adds a welcoming touch to the home while also appearing effortlessly stylish. This one was made using a selection of garlands and berries. I placed the wreath over my door knocker which was a purchase from Anthropologie. I like to share festive home updates on my Instagram page, @nikki.lifestyle. We may be in lockdown, but nothing will dampen our spirits!

Siobhán Harrison and Angie Byrne
Floral Designers, The Total Flower School

We love to add seasonal decor to our homes and given our work at The Total Flower School, our friends and family always look to see how we make our homes special for festive celebrations. The inspiration for this design began with the warm rich tones of the oak leaf. We added texture to each place setting with the natural coir rope. The tablescape featured lots of natural Irish foliage that’s in abundance throughout autumn, including ivy, hebe, pittosporum and cotinus, as well as pinecones, red apples, physalis and cocosmia seed heads. @totalflowerdesigns

Ger Cooney
Interior designer

Ger Cooney believes a fresh coat of paint can easily transform and elevate a room or space in the home. He enjoys using dark colours like Mussel from Colourtrend’s Contemporary Collection: “Painting a ceiling to match the wall colour creates atmosphere and visually adds volume to a room.” A little colour can go a long way so why not try your favourite tone in a small room or even the hall. We love Colourtrend Four Arches or City Dusk too: elegant and atmospheric.
