Following the success of the inaugural event last year, Design Week Dublin (DWD), in partnership with Range Rover, returns from 16-20 September 2026. Founded by Jane and Sarah McDonnell, founders of THE GLOSS Magazine and THE GLOSS Interiors, DWD encompasses an exciting programme of Design Talks with architects and interior designers, Design Round Tables, Fashion Conversations, and more. The work of exceptional Irish architects, interior designers, fashion and furniture designers and creators on the national and international stage will be explored, along with the inspiring work of international guest speakers. DWD will take place at the anchor location of Anantara The Marker Dublin and the historic Malt House building, both in Dublin’s Grand Canal area, as well as in exciting satellite spaces, showrooms and studios throughout the capital. DESIGN TALK: JASPER CONRA
Jasper Conran is one of Britain’s most influential design figures, celebrated for creating elegant womenswear, menswear and home collections that blend timeless style with modern practicality. Since launching his fashion career in the late 1970s, he has dressed royalty, designed award-winning costumes and built a lifestyle brand spanning interiors, tableware and home furnishings. More recently, Conran has expanded his design vision into hospitality, curating a distinctive collection of boutique hotels, including L’Hôtel Marrakech and Villa Mabrouka in Tangier, where his refined aesthetic extends from fashion to beautifully crafted guest experiences. DESIGN TALK: MARIA GRACHVOGEL
Maria Grachvogel is a true fashion visionary. For three decades her pioneering and intuitive approach to design has put the joy of the wearer first, creating timeless and empowering pieces which make women look and feel their very best. Drawing on an unusually architectural approach, called the ‘Grachvogel Cut’ Grachvogel sculpts garments directly on the body, combining structure with fluidity to achieve her signature silhouette, which enhances the female form. Each piece is designed, draped and cut in her London atelier and Grachvogel has always made the patterns herself – an incredibly rare quality in the world of luxury fashion. Geri O’Toole is the creative force behind Geri Designs, a Limerick-based interior design consultancy established in 2018. Raised in an environment rich with design history and shaped by her mother’s interior career and her father’s passion for antiques, she launched her studio after 15 years refining her industry expertise. Her designs prioritise the client’s emotional attachment to spaces, with the ultimate goal to build a deeply comforting, timeless sanctuary. In this Design Talk, we see how she incorporates her “do it once, do it well” design philosophy into projects in Ireland, the US, Europe and Asia. DESIGN TALK: SARA COSGROVE
Award-winning Irish interior designer and entrepreneur Sara Cosgrove trained in London, honing her expertise at prestigious luxury design houses, including Candy & Candy, and served as Head of Interior Design at Harrods London and then as Design Director for the Principal Hotel Company. In 2014, she established Sara Cosgrove Studio, a premium practice operating in Dublin and London that specialises in luxury hospitality and residential projects. Award-winning Irish interior designer Róisín Lafferty’s new Dublin flagship Róisín Lafferty Gallery, won Best Commercial and Cultural Project at the 2026 Createurs Design Awards in Paris. Róisín explains how she introduces avant-garde elements into historic spaces, combining fluid geometry — like dramatic arches and custom portals — with fearless, emotional colour blocking, and layers unexpected textures to transform functional homes into highly theatrical, mind-bending spatial experiences. Susan McGowan is an award-winning Irish interior architect and the Founder and Creative Director of design studio Ashen & Cloud, which is based in Athlone. Renowned for her analytical yet deeply creative style, Ashen & Cloud offers a full range of services, from full-service interior architecture and design and styling from pre-construction to project completion, to e-design services and one-off design consultations. DESIGN TALK: BRIAN WOULFE
Brian Woulfe is an Irish-born, London-based interior designer and founder of Designed by Woulfe, the award-winning studio he established in 2009. Brian brings a unique blend of creativity, discipline and attention to detail to his work. The studio has delivered over 100 projects across five continents, creating luxuriously liveable interiors, tailored to each client. Brian took an unconventional path to design, initially training and working as a concert pianist. He notes that musical composition and interior design share a core vocabulary of colour, rhythm, symmetry and storytelling. He will share his body of work. For more than three decades, Studio Sofield in New York City has created spaces with artistry, exceptional elegance and wit and a meticulous eye for detail. The
Studio’s projects range from homes, retail experiences and hospitality to multi-storey apartment towers. Studio Sofield’s fashion clients include Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Yves Saint Laurent, and Tom Ford has engaged Studio Sofield to design all his stores and his homes. DESIGN TALK: NÍALL MC LAUGHLIN
Níall McLaughlin, celebrated Irish architect and educator, is the recipient of the prestigious 2026 RIBA Royal Gold Medal, with the jury hailing Níall as a “pivotal figure in contemporary architecture”. He graduated from UCD in 1984, and founded Níall McLaughlin Architects in London in 1990, establishing a reputation for craft, sustainability and deep sensitivity to place. His portfolio includes the Stirling Prize-winning Magdalene College Library in Cambridge and the stunning Bishop Edward King Chapel in Oxford. Diarmuid Gavin is Ireland’s best-known garden personality, famous for his avant-garde, structural, and often controversial approach to outdoor spaces, and his
championing of nature. As a Gold Medal winner at Chelsea more than a decade ago, he cemented his reputation as the “maverick” of contemporary landscape architecture. His core design philosophy combines embracing the strange and structural, prioritising emotional connection and ditching the tyranny of strict formality. In this Design Talk, Diarmuid will explore the value of a Radical Greening approach to planting, to enrich our lives in the city, and at home. O’Donnell + Tuomey is the internationally acclaimed architectural practice founded in Dublin in 1988 by Sheila O’Donnell and John Tuomey. Renowned for creating architecture of civic generosity and cultural richness, the practice has delivered award-winning educational, cultural and public buildings across Ireland, the UK and Europe, including the V&A East Museum and Sadler’s Wells East in London. Recipients of the RIBA Royal Gold Medal and the 2025 RIAI Gandon Medal for Lifetime Achievement, the practice shapes contemporary architecture through projects that unite people, landscape and community.
