If you’ve gotten to this point in the season without tracking down a trusty pair of loafers then you’d be forgiven for feeling a twinge of panic. We’re always on the quest for a pair that feels just right. Not too chunky a sole, leather that looks expensive, not cheap, and a certain kind of softness in a penny loafer that reminds of YSL’s coveted Le Loafers. (We’re nothing if not specific in our desires.) On the high street, we’re gravitating towards textured styles that cheat a luxe aesthetic.
