Crisp, comfy and polished: there’s a reason why everyone is obsessed with coordinates …
The breakout trend of the summer? It has to be a pair of coordinates. Crisp, comfy and polished, we’ve seen style influencers wearing them beachside, at the airport and dressing them up at home with a crossbody bag and polished footwear. In fact, the more we see of them, the further we’re convinced that they’re far more than loungewear.
Some brands such as Spanish label La Veste have gone one step further, reinventing cropped trousers and boxy jackets – we’re waiting patiently for a restock of the Menta jacket and pants – with a laid back, summer flair. If you’re trialling the trend, invest in a pair of heavyweight cotton shorts which are less likely to crease and crumple as you go about the day. However, given summer’s louche, laissez faire attitude to getting dressed, a little wrinkling should be the least of your concerns …
