Because a striped top is always worth having in your wardrobe artillery …
Without a doubt, last summer was the season of the striped jumper – and this one is no different. Which is great news as, in spite of fashion’s super fast trend cycle, we love it when a particular looks comes back around again – it’s better for your purse and for reducing consumption. The most eco-friendly thing to do? Rewear the striped jumper you bought last year. However, if you are looking for an update, there are some tweaks to note this year that add a pinch of difference. Firstly, fabrications have expanded. This season you’ll see striped tops in cotton terry material, crochet and linen, all perfect for warmer weather. Secondly, it’s no longer just about the jumper (although they are great) – tank tops, boat neck T-shirts and polo shirts are just as covetable. The favoured way to wear it, according to the high street, still seems to be with white jeans (straight legs and slight flares reign supreme). We say? If it ain’t broke … Shop the best styles below.
