The 10 Best Looks From The Emmy Awards 2025

See the best-dressed from the Emmy Awards …

The 2025 Emmys red carpet was proof of two things. Firstly, fashion designers take TV (once the film world’s overlooked little sister) as seriously as film, with heavyweight names from Louis Vuitton to Valentino creating custom looks for premium television’s biggest stars.

Secondly, as the aesthetic bounced between simple elegance, old school glamour and out-and-out maximalism, there was one common thread: a streamlined physique is trending. The 2025 red carpet look was all about slim fits, body-skimming fabrics and figure-hugging silhouettes – as well as the figures to match – as the ideal du jour. Scroll for some of the most notable looks of the evening.

Indie actress and love interest on The Bear, Molly Gordon was a pinup for classic style. Proving that wearing an archival gown is the coolest fashion flex, Gordon shone in a Giorgio Armani AW96 two-tone strapless bustier dress.

Proving that red is the colour, Selena Gomez – her current TV series Only Murders In The Building was nominated in the Best Comedy category – was incandescent in a custom Louis Vuitton sleevless gown with a high neck and a dramatic train: we have no notes! Gomez’s stylist Erin Walsh finished the look with Tiffany & Co jewels and Italian-made heels by Santoni.

Meghann Fahy of The White Lotus fame looked immaculate in a black velvet gown that boasted a plunging neckline from Valentino’s AW25 ready-to-wear collection. Sleek hair and simple makeup completed the look with aplomb.

Accompanied by husband Adam Brody, nominated for his leading role in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, fellow actor Leighton Meester held her own as she worked the red carpet in a sophisticated pale pink Prada gown with cut-out detailing.

Meanwhile, Sara Foster – whose sister Erin is the creator of Nobody Wants This – was a vision in a hot pink strapless gown with ruched detailing from Zuhair Murad’s pre-fall 2025 collection.

Flying the flag for understated chic, Rashida Jones – who was nominated for her lead role in Black Mirror – was a favourite on the night in a custom dress with inbuilt cape by Irish designer Jonathan Anderson for Dior. Jones accessorised her dress with jewellery by diamond brand of the moment Jessica McCormack.

Fashion darling Chloë Sevigny leaned into nostalgia with a voluminous sleeve black gown that nodded to 1980s excess by Saint Laurent. Sevigny was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story

As stars obeyed the dress code, some broke it. See: comedian and actress Megan Stalter, co-star of Lena Dunham’s Too Much, as well as Hacks – who, in deference to the genoicide in Gaza – wore simple Levi’s jeans, a Hanes white T-shirt and ‘CEASE FIRE’ emblazoned across her bag.

Hannah Einbinder, star of Hacks, took home the gong for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy series in style, wearing a bejewelled flower-motif gown designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton.

Meanwhile, fashion favourite and co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala, Colman Domingo worked the dandy look by wearing custom embellished suiting from Valentino, with jewels by Boucheron and an Omega watch as the final flourish.
