Finished ‘The Perfect Couple’ On Netflix? Here’s What To Watch Next

If you, like us, finished off ‘The Perfect Couple’ over the course of an evening (no regrets), then you will be looking for something else to watch. We’ve got you covered. There is more to watch now and more coming soon …

Kaos on Netflix

Kaos is new on Netflix and we are intrigued. A dark comedy and contemporary re-imagining of Greek mythology, in which Jeff Goldblum plays Zeus.
The eight-part series explores themes of gender politics, power and life in the underworld. Six humans learn that they are component parts of an ancient prophecy. It sounds intriguing and could be a good excuse for brushing up on our Greek mythology. Also starring Ozark’s Janet McTeer as Hera, Love/Hate’s Killian Scott as Orpheus, Aurora Perrineau as Riddy, David Thewlis as Hades, Susan Woolridge as Pious Agatha, Billy Piper and more. A star-studded cast and eight hilarious and exciting episodes to get through this weekend. Photograph via Netflix.

Coming soon: A Very Royal Scandal on Prime Video

Coming to Amazon Prime Video on September 19. You thought you had seen enough with Scoop last year, but this mini-series is coming soon and Micheal Sheen is having his turn in the role of Prince Andrew. He looks truly transformed. The series follows the events surrounding Prince Andrew’s 2019 interview with Emily Maitlis, which turned out to be…nothing short of disastrous. A shocking moment in the public eye there is no doubt. The three-part drama offers a different take on the interview, compared to Scoop, taking a deep dive into the events leading up to the interview in the perspective of Emily Maitlis, who will be played by Ruth Wilson. Watch the trailer now.

Coming Soon: Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Mendenez Story on Netflix

Coming on September 19. Ryan Murphy and Ian Brenna’s true-crime anthology series is back again, following the success of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Mendenez Story mini-series chronicles the lives of the real-life brothers who were convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Mendendez. Although the prosecution argued that they were seeking to inherit their family fortune, the brothers claimed and remain steadfast to this day, as they serve their lifetime sentences, that their actions stemmed from a lifetime of fear and abuse at the hands of their parents. This story paved the way for modern-day audiences’ fascination with true-crime – and it still begs the question: who are the real monsters? Starring the hypnotising acting talents of Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny, as parents José and Kitty Mendendez, with Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch starring as Lyle and Erik. Slow Horses on Apple TV

The 2024 nominee for nine Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, is back for Season 4 with episodes releases every Wednesday. The first one is out now. If you haven’t watched this yet, we seriously urge you to – Slow Horses is genius. The quick-witted spy thriller continues to follow the dysfunctional team of MI5 agents and their know-it-all boss, the notorious and hilariously slobbish Jackson Lamb played by the wonderful Gary Oldman. Jack Lowden (recently married to Saoirse Ronan!) plays Lamb’s colleague and a completely chaotic agent River Cartwright, while Kirsten Scott Thomas plays the severe Diana Taverner who is Second Desk at MI5, yearning for First Desk. No doubt, this next season will have plenty of twists and turns, a big and exciting plot and lots of mess-ups from the team, making for a very entertaining series. Watch it this weekend and enjoy. Selena Gomez (Mabel), Steve Martin (Charles) and Martin Short (Oliver) are back again as the unlikely friend trio who have been solving crimes taking place in their building, making podcasts and wearing fabulous ‘fits while doing it. Season 4 follows a movie adaptation being made of the ‘Only Murders In The Building’ podcast with Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria and Zach Galifianakis playing the characters’ doubles. This season also includes a returning Jane Lynch, Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd according to our sources. My Lady Jane on Amazon Prime

My Lady Jane on Amazon Prime has been adapted by Gemma Burgess from a novel by Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton and Cynthia Hand, that provides a fantasy reimagining of the life of Lady Jane Grey. This is a fantastical and fun series to dive right into this weekend if you are looking for some relaxing escapism. The story follows Lady Jane Grey and her husband Guildford who live during the reign of Edward, son of Henry VIII. She unexpectedly finds herself crowned queen overnight and becomes the target of criminals who want her throne and her head. Starring Emily Bader, Edward Bluemel, Dominic Cooper, Rob Brydon, Anna Chancellor and a myriad of wonderful actors, this is a great series and epic tale of love, high adventure, deadpan heroism and swashbuckling swordfights. The Perfect Couple on Netflix

We’ve seen it – but if you haven’t – watch it. Starring Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning and the Irish contingent Eve Hewson and Jack Reynor of Midsommar and Sing Street, what an epic casting for a seriously gripping story. Written by Elin Hilderbrand, expert of Nantucket fiction, this story will fill the Pretty Little Lies and White Lotus holes in our lives, says Sarah Macken.

The premise of the new thriller and six-part limited series is as follows: a wealthy family, led by its matriarch, famous novelist Greer Garrison-Winbury (played by Kidman), gathers on the island of Nantucket for the wedding of Garrison-Winbury’s son. The setting is glamorous, but – as suspected – not everything is as it seems. On the eve of the big day, a body is found on the beach and, suddenly, everyone in the wedding party goes from guest to suspect. Equally, real life takes a turn as dramatic as one of Garrison-Winbury’s fiction plots. Sarah Macken has done a deep-dive so you don’t have to – read more about The Perfect Couple here.
