Expect kaleidoscopic colour and outré styling in this new H&M collaboration …
Released to coincide with Iris Apfel’s 100th birthday, the H&M x Iris Apfel collaboration is one for the maximalist dressers amongst us. Based on the personal style of Iris Apfel, the famous New York socialite and creative, who came to life for so many through her eponymous documentary Iris (2014), it’s perhaps the high street giant’s most outlandish collaboration yet.
Think clashing patterns, printed two pieces, hyper-real florals and plenty of accessories. Already a favourite is a jaunty aquamarine suit embroidered with delicate garden pea vines (the peas are iridescent pearls), as well as a fuzzy cropped jacket in forest green. Even the loungewear is extra – theatrical swirls mingle with bold and bright kaftans.

Spot the Iris Apfel x H&M collaboration in the fashion shoot of the March issue of THE GLOSS.
The accessories will please true Iris devotees. There’s resin cuffs, charm necklaces and OTT rings. Several of the pendants can be unclipped as worn as brooches à la Iris, too.
