What if we told you there was no plane ticket necessary for your next trip to Italy? The House of Peroni Nastro Azzurro has made its long-awaited return. Popping up in unexpected spaces around the city over the past number of years, its latest home is at the brand new Central Plaza, Dublin 2 – complete with a Capri Rooftop Terrace. Bringing a slice of Italy to Temple Bar, the pop-up will run until August 20. At the launch event, guests enjoyed pizza, pasta, gelato and of course, Peroni.

Plan to pop by? Expect to find a multi-level space, complete with Peroni bars, a bespoke mural by artist-in-residence, Claire Prouvost, and music by in-house DJ Kelly-Anne Byrne. It is the perfect spot to spend a summer evening in Dublin, no matter what the weather. Tickets cost €12 (which includes two complimentary drinks) and can be booked at www.hopnadublin.com/events, with limited walk-ins also available daily. Expect a warm Italian welcome from host and leading mixologist, Federico Riezzo, who has also curated the bespoke drinks menu, complete with expertly crafted Peroni-based cocktails which are a must-try. Federico will also host masterclasses on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 4pm and Saturday at 3pm to mix and shake Italian cocktails, tickets will cost €25.

Stoneybatter’s Grano restaurant will have a pop-up on site, but capacity is limited so fretta! (hurry!), because booking is essential. Tickets, €40 to include a two-course meal from Grano, gelato and two complimentary drinks, will be available through the website soon. Downstairs guests can enjoy the taste of authentic Roman pizza from Mani – check out the website for menus and a taster of what to expect.

The House of Peroni Nastro Azzurro is open from Thursday August 10 to Sunday August 20 except for Monday and Tuesdays. Tickets are required for admission costing €12 for entrance plus two complimentary drinks. Limited walk-ins will also be available each day.
