All manner of florals are enjoying a revival now, especially chintz. Once the name for painted or stained calicoes imported from India, chintz has become synonymous with florals in general. But, it’s only chintz if there’s no fewer than five colours, and usually glazed. If you’re a purist, start counting. For a modern take, more makes an oustanding focal point.
