Dublin natives and co-founders Johanna Dooley and Kara O’Sullivan are fashion fanatics who want to share a beautiful collection of clothes, via conscious consumption, with likeminded ladies. The two collaborated on curating the elevated but ready-to-wear collection, and worked to make this service sustainable, affordable and easy to use for customers. The name ‘greens are good for you’ speaks to that delicious feel that comes from wearing bright, colourful and covetable fashion. Yum.

How it works

Browse the options on greensaregoodforyou.com, choose your dates and your selected items will be delivered to your door. Rental periods are three days, seven days or ten days and prices vary for each piece. Delivery and returns are free, and cleaning included – thanks to The Laundry Press, an Irish cleaning company who use ‘wet’ cleaning with only plant-based products.

The collection

greens are good for you’s collection includes some seriously enviable, elegant pieces, sized UK6-16 – though, their wardrobe is always growing. The goal, say Dooley and O’Sullivan, is for the business to become a positive, inclusive and fabulous place for everyone.  From everyday items – jeans, blazers, coats and bags – to occasion outfits, the business boasts a big range for such a simple service.

Brands to feature will include Saks Potts, With Jean, House of Sunny, Rezek Studio, ROTATE, Missoni, Pippa Holt, Sleeper, Retrofete, The Frankie Shop, Prada, Fendi, and Roxanne Assoulin. The pair hint at other Irish-designed treasures to become available soon: “We have also partnered with gorgeous small Irish brands who will have an exclusive collection available to rent. We cannot wait to reveal who they are.”
