5 New Coffee Stops And Sandwich Shops In Ireland

We are spoilt for choice with these delicious new openings in Dublin and Galway …

Rudaí, Station House Courtyard, Clifden

A very exciting opening in Clifden will be music to the ears of road-trippers and locals alike. Formerly a beloved trailer named Good Stuff based in Roundstone that shut in 2023, founders Lily and Johnny’s new coffee and bakes venture Rudaí is based in the Station House Courtyard in Clifden. Serving Calendar coffee and baked goods using organic and stoneground Irish flower, visitors can expect cheese and black pepper scones, gluten free orange and almond cake with yoghurt cream, banana bread and so much more. This is the new go-to spot for coffee and cakes after a hike in Diamond Hill or a swim in Dogs Bay. @rudaibakery

Morso, 42 Drury Street, Dublin

Based on Drury Street where Mani used to be and from the team behind Mani, Morso has already had a busy opening weekend starting from Thursday and it will be open through until Saturday. Visitors can expect delicious Italian-inspired sandwiches made with Schiacciata bread. With “It’s All In The Bread” as this spot’s mantra, you know it’s going to be good. The Chicken Parm made with two crispy chicken cutlets dipped in vodka sauce with provolone, pesto and whipped Stracciatella sounds mouth-wateringly good or the Porchetta sandwich piled high with crispy skin, potato cream, rocket and salse verde sounds like a flavour explosion you will never have had before. Made with Irish produce, these sandwiches are made fresh everyday – plus you can get Italian coffee here too. @morso.ie

Green Beards Juicery, Shankhill

A new location for the beloved raw, cold-pressed juices, coffee and superfood retailer is Shankhill. Founded by Raymond O’Hara and Kevin Johnstone in 2014, this marks the juicery’s second location along with it’s busy spot in Ranelagh. The cold-pressed juices can also be found in stockists around Dublin like Greenville Deli, The Cosy Bean and Lennox Street Grocer. As well as juices, visitors can expect freshly made smoothies, superfood bowls, acaí bowls, matcha bowls, powerful wellness shots and healthy treats. For coffee lovers, pick up a coffee made with Two Fifty Square coffee and for matcha connoissuers, a ceremonial grade matcha made with Matcha Ninja. @greenbeardsjuicery

Segotia, Rathmines

Founded by Karen and Derek, a couple with a goal to create a secure cultural space in the city, Segotia is a multipurpose and restorative place with a focus on yoga, creativity and community. It is a hidden gem in Rathmines with a gallery space, community space, a yoga studioand creative studios. It boasts many different types of classes and restorative courses such as Mindful Painting, Beginner Ceramics and Morning Magic and Coffee yoga sessions to name a few. The coffee dock is worth a visit in itself. Set in the relaxed garden, you can grab a Two Fifty Square coffee, a chai or a matcha (Segotia have a two for one offer for the month of June) and sit in one of the huts bordering the garden. Tasty pastries and treats are on the cards too. Even if you’re not attending a class, a coffee at this spot will give you that community feel.  @segotia_dublin

Banco, 17 Stoneybatter

Grano restaurant’s latest bakery venture has been met with a warm welcome in Stoneybatter. Roberto Mungo’s Roman-style sandwich shop is serving focaccia, fresh sourdough and pastries and coffee just across the road from the restaurant. Grano fans can purchase its tiramisu in a jar at Banco and also, excitingly, Grano’s fresh pasta to make at home. Sandwich-wise visitors can expect a Wild Garlic Pesto sandwich served with aubergine sott’olio, tomato and Stracciatella or the Pancetta di Martina Franca with smoked provola and artichoke, all served within two slices of freshly baked focaccia. Named after the Italian phrase “al banco” which refers to the Italian custom of standing at the bar, Banco is the place to go to enjoy an Italian-style espresso, macchiatto or cappuccino and in the morning a pastry, at lunchtime a sandwich, and in the evenings – pizza! @banco_dublin
