Spring dresses to love

Just landed from Irish online boutique Cobbler’s Lane is the spring Siren Song collection which is filled with striking dresses that would make for chic occasion wear (hello, wedding guest looks!). The sea-inspired prints are hand-drawn by founder Monica Walsh and everything is made in Ireland. Try: the floral and shell motif Siren Song midi dress, €460; www.cobblerslane.com. @cobblerslane

Movers and shakers in Dublin

In need of some retail therapy? Stop by the just-opened Rains store on Wicklow Street. The brand – which is co-owned by Philip Lotko, husband of Danish fashion influencer Pernille Teisbaekmerges cool Scandinavian design with technical fabrics, making it a go-to for a rain jacket that you won’t be ashamed to seen in (pack-a-macs, be gone!). 21 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2; @rains. Meanwhile, across the river, H&M has opened its second largest store in Dublin at the restored Clerys Quarter on O’Connell Street, stocking womenswear, menswear and kidswear. While it doesn’t stock H&M Home (currently it’s only available at H&M’s Liffey Valley and Cork stores), it does contain H&M Hub lockers meaning Irish customers can avail of the high street store’s click and collect service. 27 O’Connell Street Lower, Dublin 1; @hm

Fans of British swim label Hunza G will delight in the news that it’s now available at Seagreen’s boutiques in Monkstown and Ranelagh, and online at www.seagreen.com. The label is loved for its one-size-fits-all bikinis and swimsuits, as well as its nostalgic aesthetic: the crinkle stretch fabric used in each piece is synonymous with Julia Roberts’ now iconic body-con cut-out dress she wore in Pretty Woman. The story goes that in 2015 Georgiana Huddart tracked down Peter Meadows, the original maker of the dress, persuading him to go into business with her – and Hunza G was formed. Our tip: the Brooke strapless red swimsuit is an undeniable classic, €200. @hunza.g
