All the Backstage Beauty Tips From LTB19

20 gorgeous models from Andrea Roche, Assets, 1st Option, Morgan The Agency and Not Another Agency, participated in the catwalk show at Look The Business, where Brown Sugar created elegant hair and beauty looks especially for LTB19. The team – led by owner Mark O’Keeffe, art director Aidan Darcy and make-up artist Dearbhla Keenan – had two concepts in mind.

For Look 1, skin looked beautifully luminous and dewy, catching the light – the team evened out skin tone using MUD Cosmetics cream base foundation, and applied Satin Glow by Kohl Cosmetics to high points to create a glowy effect. Soft pink blush on the apples of the cheeks and cheekbones added a healthy-looking flush. Eyes were kept neutral, with lashings of mascara. A high-shine glossy red made lips the focus, using Kohl Cosmetics Matador Red and Super Gloss – a high-glamour look for the season ahead.

The models’ hair was timelessly chic and elegant, smoothed into a classic soft wave. The Brown Sugar team prepped hair with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.Art Pli spray before being blowdried. In a middle parting, hair was curled away from the face using barrel tongs; then it was smoothed out into a bouncy wave using a wide-tooth comb. And it was all held in place with a mist of L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium.

For Look 2, the eyes were defined using black kohl pencil on the waterline. And for this look, the red lip was kept completely matte. Brows for both looks were fluffy, combed up and set with Mud Brow Fix to give depth and fullness. Hair was sleeked back into a low ponytail style. The ponytail was then waved using large tongs to create some movement through the ends.
