Glossy Hair Day
It’s not often you get money off a Dyson. But from today, the Dyson Corrale straighteners are reduced from €449.99 to €349.99, a special reduced price until November 30, online at www.dyson.ie and at Dyson stockists. I find the Corrale great for speedy straightening and also waves – it took me a while to learn how to wield the straighteners, which feel a bit heavier than others, but now I can do a beachy wave with the best of them. They are cord-free, which makes them easy to manage, too. Grab them while they’re hot.
Scent Sampling

Lighting Up
The limited-edition Noble Péire set from Cloon Keen makes an elegant present – two smaller-sized candles, Noble Fir and Noble Myrrh, gorgeously presented, as always with Galway’s finest. New Arrival
Prada Beauty has just landed online at Brown Thomas, ahead of its store launch in December. Lipsticks start at €44.50, make-up brushes from €47. We’ve no idea what any of it’s like yet, but it’s there to browse now if you’re a label-lover. www.brownthomas.com
Face First
Do your face a favour and book onto one of Agnes Gajewska’s online face yoga classes; the next sessions are later this month and are €130, which includes all the tools you’ll need, from gua sha to face cups. Also keep an eye on the website for details of future in-person classes, which are very highly recommended. Facial appointments with Agnes are like gold dust, but her classes give you all the tools and know-how. Agnes’ face yoga kits will be available soon at Planet Beauty, Brown Thomas, where she has been doing a pop-up skin clinic. In fact, we just spotted two free appointments on November 28 (€180 for 1hr 15) – be quick! This is one of the most dynamic and naturally enhancing facials you can ever have, and the choice of every fresh-faced woman out there, from Angela Scanlon to Sonya Lennon.
Making Notes
I’m planning to treat my Bowie-fan daughter to this Rebel notebook from the lovely Kilkenny-based Achara, makers of notecard sets, notebooks and all things paper. Founder Mundy’s colour combinations are delightful, and we love the idea of old-school personalised notecards with your initials on. These are far too beautiful to write on with biro – so consider treating yourself to a beautiful bottle of ink from the Montblanc boutique in South Anne Street, Dublin 2, and dust off your fountain pen – ideally, this glorious green (€24.50).
This all makes me think of Roy Keane in the Beckham documentary, hilariously bemused that David would spend a fortune on a pen.
