Stylist and scalp specialist Trudy Hayes explains: “We tend to forget about the scalp because we don’t have to look at it every day. It’s an extension of our face. All about oats
One of the key ingredients in Aveeno® haircare is colloidal oatmeal. “Sensitive scalps really suffer through winter months, what with central heating and being wrapped up in hats and scarves,” says Hayes. “And most people tend to wash their hair less often, too. This can all result in highly sensitive, itchy or blocked-up scalps. Keeping the pH balance within a normal range of 5.5, and using a gentle shampoo, often helps. Oats are a helpful ingredient in your haircare, since they are kind and soothing, and balance out the scalp’s ecosystem.”
