The hotly-anticipated reboot airs tonight at 9pm …
In case you’ve been living under a rock, you might have heard about a little old Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That. The series – which sees Carrie reunite with Miranda and Charlotte, now in their fifties – has been subject to months of anticipation which is finally reaching fever pitch ahead of tonight’s big reveal.
The show has been dividing fans, some of whom are elated by the idea of a Sex and the City revival, while others remain on the fence about the lack of a few notable names which arguably were the ‘glue’ of the original series – Kim Cattrall who will not be reprising her role as Samantha, costume designer Patricia Field and original show creator Darren Star, whom many credit with the original genius of the TV series.
The first two episodes of the ten-part series air in the US on HBO Max. In good news, Irish viewers can watch it on Sky Comedy at 9pm tonight, while subscribers to NOW TV can watch the first two episodes which are available now via the streaming service.
For last night’s premiere of the show in New York City, Sarah Jessica Parker had her very own Carrie moment. The actress wore a deconstructed Oscar de la Renta dress, replete with tulle underskirt – a nod to the now iconic tutu worn by Parker in the show’s opening credits.

Parker is no stranger to an Oscar de la Renta dress however, Carrie was famously gifted one by ‘the Russian’, artist Aleksandr Petrovsky, for a romantic outing to the ballet in season six. (The date, like all good ones do, culminated with french fries in McDonalds.)
Meanwhile, Cynthia Nixon went all bright in a neon orange dress by Christopher John Rogers – a designer known for his unabashed use of colour and co-star Kristen Davis embraced Hollywood glamour in an off the shoulder Jason Wu dress.
