Shop your own wardrobe for this pretty-meets-tough trend …
Have you ever wanted to team a pair of stomping biker boots with the most floaty dress in your wardrobe? Then you’ve nailed the moto boho look. The trend, which has been flagged by Pinterest as one of the key trends of SS25, is a blend of boho chic and the moto biker aesthetic.
Think “chunky leather handbags, flowy skirts, moto boots and just enough fringe”, says Pinterest. According to the social media giant, the look is fuelled by demand, with searches for trending terms such as ‘moto boots outfit’ up 445 per cent, ‘lace skirt outfit’ up by 360 per cent and ‘slouchy bag’ up 345 per cent.
It helps that whimsical white dresses, suede bags and artisanal details, such as studding and fringing, have made their way back into the collective fashion consciousness in the last few seasons, too.
(Speaking of Pinterest, check out their exciting new collaboration with the first Primark Home store in Ireland).
The moto boho trend is a move on from the boho revival that took hold last summer … and still has a firm grip on the fashion world, if the latest runway looks at Paris Fashion Week are anything to go by. Picture Sienna Miller in a cropped leather jacket, teamed with a lace-trim slip dress – all by Chloé, naturally. It’s this contrast of hard and soft, tough and whimsical, that makes the look so interesting.

Most importantly, what’s great about the trend is that you likely have most of the key pieces in your wardrobe already. And if you’re unsure of how to get the look? Dig out a pair of biker boots – try Ganni or, on the high street, Arket, if you don’t already own a pair – and team them with a whimsical white dress or summer skirt. Or, if biker boots don’t do it for you, throw a jacket in butter-soft leather over your most romantic dress and you’ve essentially nailed the brief.
