There’s nothing we love more than finding a new fashion label that’s relatively untapped. The brands below are making waves right now – expect to see more of them in 2022.

Rave Review

Swedish label Rave Review – which first showed at Paris Fashion Week in 2018 – fast garnered notoriety amongst the fashion crowd thanks to its sustainable kudos. The brand upcycles deadstock (mainly old blankets, sheets and scarves) into highly-covetable pieces, largely in bold checks and patchworks. The brand was also a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2020 and has already collaborated on an edit with Net-a-Porter. Watch this space.

Aje

Summarised as “a fashion house dedicated to raw beauty, tough femininity and effortless cool”, Aje is the kind of brand you wear when you want to look masterfully undone. The brand’s smock dresses and puff-sleeve pieces are loved by the Instagram set. We can’t wait to embrace the label’s romantic feeling when the weather gets a little warmer. Tach

Already loved by the likes of Alexa Chung and Kendall Jenner, Tach Clothing is one to watch. We first happened upon the brand earlier this year when it was worn by Leandra Medine, who loves the label’s quirky crochet knits. The brand, which manufactures ethically in Uruguay, also makes statement lightweight jackets which are perfect for spring dressing.

Miss Sohee

Miss Sohee, the designer bringing ‘demi-couture’ to the masses (and who is loved by the likes of Cardi B and Bella Hadid) has joined the Vanguard programme at Net-a-Porter for spring, so expect to see plenty more of her statement-making pieces next season.

Lukhanyo Mdingi

Vibrant and earth-friendly, Cape Town-based Mdingi collaborates with local artisans to make pieces that have as much personality as they do mass appeal. The designer is racking up luxury stockists on a global basis, so we’ve no doubt we’ll be seeing more of him soon.
