Repair Your Luxury Pieces With This New Service At Brown Thomas And Arnotts

Luxury aftercare service The Restory has launched at Brown Thomas and Arnotts …

How often do you allow pieces to languish in your wardrobe because they need repairing, or resoling? If the answer is more than once then a new luxury aftercare service launching today could be for you.

The golden rule of investment purchases is that they should last longer – meaning you buy less, but better. However, that theory only works if you maintain those pieces – a great wool coat, a leather crossbody or a pair of killer stilettos – properly.

Here to fill that niche is aftercare service The Restory, which launches at Brown Thomas and Arnotts today. The luxury aftercare service is available for cleaning, replacing hardware, leather restoration, stitching, alterations, darning, zip replacements, reheeling and resoling. The Restory welcomes items across the clothing, bag and shoe categories – they do not need to have been purchased at Brown Thomas to avail of the service.

Launched in 2017, The Restory is a service that provides modern aftercare for luxury fashion. Blending technology and exquisite workmanship, the service encourages a longer life in luxury goods, whether you’re sending something in for repair, reheeling or cleaning.

Another boon is that using the service is relatively fuss-free. Customers can drop pieces in-store or arrange a courier to collect them from their home. After being reviewed at The Restory’s atelier, customers will receive a quote via email for the proposed work which they can query, accept or decline. After The Restory works its magic, the piece will be couriered back to the store or the client’s home, on completion, free of charge.

Speaking of the new service, Fashion Buying Director of Brown Thomas Arnotts Shelly Corkery credits its launch as “the latest exciting initiative to inspire customers to make more sustainable fashion choices”.

The service is available now at Brown Thomas Dundrum and Grafton Street and Arnotts, Henry Street. For further information see BrownThomas.com or Arnotts.ie.
