a breezy blouse

This season, for celebrity and editorial stylist Corina Gaffey, her favourite holiday item is the breezy blouse. “I’m all about getting the wear out of my clothes and investing in pieces for holidays that I’ll wear at home too. A breezy blouse is versatile, transitioning from chilly summer days to balmy afternoons, keeping me cool and comfortable. The key is to go for floaty styles crafted in lightweight fabrics like silk or cotton. Peekaboo fabrics like lace or broderie anglaise also do the trick, with ventilation, allowing for air flow. I’ll always want to cover my arms, whether on holiday or not, and a breezy blouse with elegant sleeves offers coverage with sacrificing on style. I style it with straight-leg denim and sandals when the weather is cooler, but it pairs perfectly with cut-off shorts, linen trousers or a silk slip skirt,” she says. @corinagaffey

a chic hair accessory

Soaring temperatures and good hair days don’t often mix. Which is why having a chic hair accessory in your artillery is always a good thing. It’s something that Irish fashion stylist Aisling Farinella, whose style signature is a chic bobbed hair cut, is a fan of. “I wear my hair short throughout the year, but I still love nothing more than the feeling of pulling it back from my face in warm weather. I will always pack a small leather case of hair slides for holiday dressing, as often I will wear less jewellery in the sun and a hair accessory will do just the trick instead. I lean into tortoiseshell styles which are always so chic by the sea and some sparkly numbers for dressing up any time of the day. My go-to favourites are Simone Rocha crystals and pearls and some treasures I picked up from Pico in Copenhagen,” she says. @aisfarinella

a do-it-all kaftan

Personal stylist at Kildare Village Jess Colivet knows a thing or two about a good holiday outfit. Her go-to piece? A trusty kaftan. “A kaftan is my all-time favorite holiday outfit because of its incredible versatility. Whether I’m on the beach going for a laid-back look or dressing up for the evening with statement earrings, a kaftan effortlessly exudes summer chic. Most styles are made of comfortable and breathable cotton too. I know whenever I buy one I’ll cherish it in my wardrobe for years to come,” she says. @jesscolivet

Menswear: Quirky Knit Sweaters Have Replaced The Quarter-Zip

It’s goodbye to the quarter-zip, says Aislinn Coffey ...We are calling time on the quarter-zip – it’s high time to go back to wearing a proper sweater. A crew or v-neck classic, preferably in refined lambswool or smooth merino, the nattier the better. Brave types will...
