The Art of Escape

With a superlative spa, impressive culinary offerings and spectacular interiors, treat yourself to this elegant escape at InterContinental Dublin …

What’s on your checklist for a luxury staycation? Old-world glamour… Luxurious guest rooms and suites… Impressive spa facilities including a lap pool … A range of dining options … A sunny terrace for an al fresco sundowner … A sense of space? The Irish-owned five-star InterContinental Dublin ticks all our boxes and has just added a further incentive to visit.

“The InterContinental Luxury Escape” is a chance for GLOSS readers to enjoy the elegance and exquisite service for which the hotel is renowned. And after the last few months, who isn’t ready to be pampered?

Drive up to the door, where a valet will park your car onsite, before settling into a luxurious deluxe guestroom (officially the largest in the city). Guests can relax and unwind in the elegant, award-winning Spa, decorated in a clean, chic aesthetic. With a range of treatments using ESPA products and a 14-metre lap pool, it’s perfect for an afternoon dip. Or perhaps you’d prefer a walk on Sandymount Strand or a stroll to Herbert Park both just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, located in leafy Ballsbridge.

If shopping is your style of therapy, the InterContinental Dublin has superb credentials. Guests can book one of several shopping experiences with Brown Thomas such as its “Personal Shopping Comes to You”. After a virtual consultation, the style team at Brown Thomas will bring the store’s personal shopping experience to your suite. If this sounds absolutely fabulous, then there are more sensory delights on offer.

Enjoy a cocktail or aperitif on the Garden Terrace before a sumptuous three-course dinner in Seasons Restaurant prepared by executive chef Alberto Rossi. The light-filled restaurant overlooks the lush two-acre garden. After dinner enjoy a drink in the recently refurbished Lobby Lounge (or The Reading Room) listening to the resident pianist. With all senses catered for, a good night’s sleep is guaranteed before a hearty “full Irish” breakfast on the Garden Terrace and a leisurely checkout the following morning.

The Luxury Escape package which includes overnight accommodation, breakfast and dinner, access to the Spa and pool and complimentary car parking is from €175 per person share. To secure an upgrade to a suite, quote THE GLOSS when booking; www.intercontinentaldublin.ie.
