Our Pick Of The Best Beauty Merch

When it comes to beauty merch, from branded bags to accessories, whats worth splashing out on? …

These items have to be good, as you’re giving the brand free marketing by wearing or using them. From the perfect pink hoodie to a giant tote bag, here are seven that stand out this summer.

1 Rhode’s summer collection lands next week and features limited-edition summer accessories, from the Terry Bag and beach towel to the viral Snap-On Lip Case (€60), so you can keep your Peptide Lip treatment or Tint with you (look out for three limited-edition new Tints in this collection, from pearly peach to rosy bronze). We like Rhode’s soft and squishy beauty bags, too.

2 Glossier’s pink hoodie (now in the permanent collection) always sells out fast as it’s a great colour and super-soft. Not cheap at €80, but it looks good and washes well. This summer, Glossier launched a range of merch aimed at dog-lovers, including a lead, collar and – yes, seriously – branded poo bags. Barking mad.

3 Lisa Eldridge is a beauty genius – all her make-up is stellar, particularly her lipsticks. Check out her current Marilyn Monroe-inspired collection; Eldridge famously collects vintage make-up and owns a lipstick that belonged to the iconic actress. For merch, Eldridge has a range of Velvet Studio sweatshirts (€54). She also stocks a jewellery range online.

4 It’s more of an accessory than merch as such, but the silver Trinny London travel bags are worth a mention, from the small Jubilee bag (€28) to the larger Atlantic travel bag (€35). They’re smart, light and great for storage.

5 This Oskia tote bag works beautifully as a capacious beach or work bag and it’s durable, made from thick organic undyed cotton canvas (€24.95). It’s brilliant – as is the brand’s skincare. I’m currently obsessed with the Midnight Eye-Q, an expensive yet exquisite eye cream with peptides that doubles for several hours’ sleep and softens lines round the eyes.

6 Recently, I got excited about a cherry-red baseball cap at M&S, only to be told by my teens that it was too Maga-adjacent. I returned it in favour of this far safer Space NK peach one (€25).

7 The best things in life are (kind of) free. We adore Merit Beauty for its snappy looks and fab formulas – and with every first online order you get a free fabric Signature Bag to carrry your haul.
