We’re digging the new veg patch perfume from Jo Malone …
Jo Malone London’s summer limited-edition collection lands today, and it celebrates the humble veg patch. The three brand-new colognes in the Veggies collection are soft and colourful, with a fresh and healthy vibe.
We haven’t smelled them yet, but particularly love the idea of Carrot Blossom Cologne, which pairs orange flower and white musk with sweet carrot (€68, 30ml). Velvety Butternut brings together squash, tonka bean and patchouli for an earthier, woodier, gourmand scent; I’m not sure that butternut squash is everyone’s favourite vegetable, so it will be interesting to see if people are drawn to this one.
Finally, Scarlet Beetroot, the most eye-catching, blends blackcurrant and patchouli with the main vegetable. The colognes are €68 each (30ml). It’s a fun, strong concept, and the colourful bottles are striking and playful.
The collection also includes plant-inspired scents for home, including the Tomato Leaf Hand Wash (€42), a special-edition Green Tomato Vine Candle (€118) and Green Tomato Vine Diffuser (€178), bringing the scent of the greenhouse into your home. For me, tomato leaf is one of the loveliest and most nostalgic smells in the garden, so we’re excited to smell these.
