Scandinavian design fans will be delighted to discover Nordic Elements new bricks-and-mortar space in Blackrock, Co Dublin which opens on September 30th. Hurrah – something new and gorgeous to look at! Occupying the former Adams auction house on the Main Street, Nordic Elements shows an edited collection of pieces from Danish, Finnish, Swedish and Italian designers, all with owner Danish-born Helle Moyna’s “modern classic” stamp, making them easy to mix and match, allowing you to create your own design vision.

Moyna’s design team are in situ to devise a plan for every room from complete refurbishment and refurnishing of an entire house, to helping you rethink your dining set-up or select the perfect sofa. There are gorgeous dining tables and chairs, sleek sofas and occasional chairs, coffee tables and side tables, beautiful modern pendant lights and table lamps, mirrors, shelving and cushions all in varying versions, materials and sizes. Everything in the store is sourced to be a modern heirloom, passed from generation to generation and with sustainable principles in mind: “It’s the Danish way to save for the piece you want, and to buy the best you can afford,” says Moyna, whose own house nearby sparked huge interest amongst readers when it featured in THE GLOSS Interiors some years ago. There are also stylish home accessories – vases, glassware and ceramics – as well as art and limited-edition pieces sourced on Moyna’s travels in Europe. From well-known names to up-and-coming designers, the selection will appeal to design lovers who appreciate understated elegance and quiet quality.
