In Vogue is a mainstay of the Irish beauty landscape, meeting clients’ needs from this spot for the past three decades. Meeting entrepreneur, skincare authority and go-to facialist McConnell herself, it’s hard to believe the timespan; she looks too young to have been in business this long, and is certainly a great advert for her own facial treatments! She started out right here on one floor back in 1995, with her mum helping on reception. Since then, she’s expanded across three floors, and now has seven beauty rooms, three manicure and pedicure stations and three tanning rooms, with 14 highly trained staff, many of whom have been with her for over a decade.
Face First
What to book in for? Choose from a wide range of facials, including Hydrafacials and the much-celebrated Hollywood Red Carpet Facial, also known as the Fire and Ice Facial, favoured by celebrities, which features glycolic acid in its most natural form for an instant glow with no downtime. Product lines include IsClinical and Image Skincare.
An extensive menu of innovative non-surgical treatments includes IPL Skin Rejuvenation, Advanced Microneedling (a pain-free option where a vitamin infusion is applied at the same time), enzymatic and chemical Image skincare peels, and Exosomes.
The Latest Advances In Skin Treatments
Exosome therapy is the new buzzword. “Exosomes are derived from bovine colostrum and go directly into the cells, where they act like receptors, kickstarting dying cells and thus boosting collagen and elastin,” explains McConnell. “Many clients are now choosing this treatment over injectables. Choose from pro-ageing or lightning and brightening, or a mix of both. The difference from injectables is that Exosome works on the entire face, rather than just one area, and it has more gentle, natural results, so many people prefer it.” McConnell says the Exosome therapy is particularly ideal for ages 30 onwards, and recommends a course of three treatments, one month apart, for best results.

Customised Care
In Vogue can help you get to grips with all kinds of skin issues, whether that’s post-summer pigmentation and dark spots – or other kinds of spots. “A lot of my clients’ children have come in for a course of treatments to help with acne-prone skin,” says McConnell. “We also have many clients for help with milia (small white bumps on the skin), particularly men, who are definitely becoming more skin conscious.” McConnell has celebrity clients too.
Better Your Brows
McConnell is a real brow expert, too, and dedicated to achieving the exact result you’re after, whether that’s an entirely natural tint and shape, progressing to HD brows, lamination and the more permanent microblading of PhiBrow. Indeed, she has worked with many clients on these more permanent brows before they start cancer treatment.
In Vogue is a good option for spray tans, too, with Irish brand Bellamianta, plus St Tropez (very popular with brides). There’s a full range of waxing and threading services on offer too.

“We use the very best of everything at In Vogue,” says McConnell. “Whether it’s our IPL machine or the skin products and nail colours we use, and our extensive and ongoing staff training, we want our clients to have the very best.
