Last Call! 10 Effortless Outfits To End Summer

These chic August outfits will make you long for an Indian summer …

Gingham is always a favourite and this season’s exaggerated check prints are heavy on appeal. Currently on our wishlist is this two-piece by eternal summer brand Posse.

A pair of athletic shorts teamed with a lace and linen top feels very Carrie Bradshaw-coded (who remains one of our perennial muses).

Bold stripes aren’t just for tops. A pair of graphic striped trousers – look to Sézane for some excellent options – make a simple statement.

Speaking of stripes, try them on both bottom and top at once for maximum impact, in the vein of Spanish style influencer Blanca Miró.

A pair of C-shaped cargo pants, flip-flops and a romantic top are a no-brainer.

As pre-fall collections drop, they come with a kind of heady indulgence that’s perfect for August dressing. We love the idea of a coordinating folouard and dress in rich jewel tones.

Uplift a pair of white jeans with a quilted jacket or a trending barn jacket.

When it comes to shirting, a dark hue is the ultimate way to go for a fresh look. Look for shades of black, navy or chocolate brown.

The memo this month? If in doubt, don a pair of little white shorts. Trending varieties include bloomer styles or iterations with an antique-look lace trim.

Silver may be trending, but we always return to gold jewellery. Right now, it’s all about long chains with teardrop details against a flash of skin, worn both front and back. Look to the latest drop by Danish brand Lie Studio at Dublin jewellery boutique Loulerie for a fix.
