Between the gusty rain and wind of June to the heatwaves of July and August, it’s safe to say this summer has been a get-dressed rollercoaster. At one point, it seemed we’d never get into our summer clothes and now it seems like we live in swimsuits, sundresses and wispy, warm weather blouses. And, while we’re not complaining about the recent bout of good weather, we are acknowledging how this time of the year can leave us a little burnt out when it comes to outfit ideas. 

Why now? One good reason is that we’re very nearly upon that inbetween time of year: those few weeks where summer is diminishing but autumn hasn’t yet arrived. It’s too soon to break out your new season kit of knits, boots and coats, but equally your summer pieces are starting to feel a little off and very tired. In the spirit of staying in the now, we’ll be looking to the stylish folk at Copenhagen Fashion Week, who embrace summer dressing with aplomb. Bright colours feature alongside outré cowboy boots (which also happen to be a huge footwear trend for autumn) and joyful dresses: a quick scroll and our interest in summer dressing is renewed (for now: watch this space).
