A Taste Of Sardinia: Recipes For The Perfect Summer’s Evening At Home

Whatever the weather this weekend, enjoy a taste of Sardinia at home with these delicious recipes from Butlers Chocolates …

Sunshine, hail and seemingly endless amounts of rain, we’ve seen it all this summer. While we have high hopes for the remainder of August, we’ve learned it’s best to not expect anything from the Irish weather. That’s why we’re keen to introduce hints of sunshine in other forms. Teaming up with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, our favourite chocolatiers at Butlers Chocolates have created a brand-new range bursting with the brightest flavours of summer. Featuring Sardinian citrus, these chocolate bites and bars will (temporarily!) wash away any memories of our washout summer. So, this weekend, set up the parasol in the garden, pick up a box of Butlers Chocolates with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin with Sardinian Citrus chocolates to create the perfect summer grazing board, whisk up a Sardinian Breeze Choc-tail, and then close your eyes and be transported to the Mediterranean. Soothing soundtrack of lapping waves optional…

The Perfect Summer’s Evening: Butlers Chocolates have shared some tips to create a delicious chocolate and gin grazing board.

1) Start by slicing fresh lemon and limes. Place 4-5 juicy wedges in the centre of your board and leave the rest aside to garnish your beverage.
2) Next, add some Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin Sardinian Citrus Truffles and segments of Truffle Bar.
3) Then, add some colourful fruit; we love raspberries and blueberries. Salted nuts make a wonderful addition. We love crunchy roasted almonds, perfect for snacking as you sip on your chilled gin and tonic.
4) Finally, add 40ml of Drumshanbo with Sardinian Citrus Gunpowder Irish Gin to your favourite glass and pour in 140ml of chilled premium tonic. Garnish with the lemon that you prepared earlier. Serve over cubed ice.
5) Enjoy!
