Wellbeing expert Dani Sheil has 20 years’ experience of inspiring people to find direction and live a purposeful, harmonious and happy life. Her new, flexible “Time For Me” programme is a cost effective solution promoting self-care …
Dani Sheil knows all about stress. She began her professional career in hotel management in which she was very aware of finding healthy methods to manage burn out and anxiety. Her exploration of wellbeing led her to train in the practices of reiki, yoga, meditation and personal development coaching. This quartet of expertise has given her the accredited tools and tips to live a full, happy and energetic life – which she enjoys passing on to others.
“Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of working with a lot of women who struggle with prioritising themselves,” she says. “They are smart, driven, wonderful women who strive to keep everyone else in their lives happy, balanced and healthy but put themselves low down on their own priority list. This could be affecting their mental and physical wellbeing and could lead to running on empty and the risk of burnout.”
If this sounds all too familiar, Dani’s belief that life is a play of balance, in which self-care is a priority, is endorsed by scientists. She believes in the four pillar of self-care: Rest, Renew, Reflect and Replenish. However, she knows from first-hand experience that choosing self is not always easy. “A few years back, I took three weeks off and headed to an ashram in India for training and retreat. It was a tough decision to leave two small boys with my already busy husband but it was one of the best decisions I ever made. They all survived and appreciated me more when I returned. As a result, I was reminded to put value on my “me” time.”
Dani with Sri Ramaswami
Dani has created a “Time For Me” monthly membership to encourage self-care. The membership includes four live stream yoga classes each week – a total of 16 per month. Also included is a Friday meditation class each week (meaning four per month) in addition to two (virtual) Mindset meet-ups per month, which encourage participants to “clear their heads and grow their minds”. The membership also gives access to a library of shorter yoga practices and meditations as well as a further 15 per cent off coaching programmes, retreats and workshops. (Restrictions permitting, Dani is hoping to host a retreat in Greece or Spain later in the year). The cost of this membership is €75 per month (the equivalent price of a massage). Should you sign up before March 2, there is a free trial for a week.
