6 New Coffee Stops And Bakeries Around Ireland

Check out these new spots in Dublin, Galway, Clare, Cork and Belfast if you’re in the area …

Parnell Street Bakery, Dublin 1

The little sister of Russell Street Bakery @russellst.bakery) opened recently with fan favourites including Killadoon farm milk for creamy coffees washed down with pain suisse and pistachio NY rolls. The newest member of the family, Ringsend Road Bakery (@ringsendroadbakery), is coming soon.

Goughie’s Coffee Shop, Glenasmole, Co Dublin

Talk about a coffee experience with a wildlife twist. Goughie’s makes a great day out: practically a petting farm beside a sauna located beside the Bohernabreena reservoir, perfect for a scenic walk before or after your treats. Kids will love Sophie the sheep and ice-cream, of course, no matter the weather.

Baked By Applebee Bakes, Douglas, Co Cork

Popular local cake designer Anna Forde moved from her Moneygourney catering kitchen to transform an old cottage into her first café. Bringing over ten years of expertise, you won’t want to miss her caramel latte muffins with espresso buttercream, s’mores or vegan dark chocolate pretzel cookies. Sold!

Scald Coffee, New Quay, Co Clare

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Flaggy Shore along the Wild Atlantic Way, this adorable dusty pink coffee van is open for business. Promising caffeine, craic and coastal views whether you’re road trippin’, wave watchin’ or dodging the rain, pull in for a scaldy coffee and milkshake for the kids. Definitely worth the stop.

Coyles, Connemara, Co Galway

Serving sourdough from So Doh Sourdough (@so_doh_sourdough_renvyle), and baked goods from Off the Beaten Truck Café (@offthebeatentruckcafe) and Pheobe’s Connemara (@phoebesconnemara) – a French Patisserie based in a coffee truck – pop in to Coyles in Clifden to support local. Oh, did we mention they serve Mafia Matcha, plus crates of fresh fruit and veg too?!

Terracotta, Sydenham, Belfast

A must-stop coffee shop on Holywood Road. Serving Imbibe coffee, they encourage customers to be a ‘coffee snob’ by refusing to pay £8 for a bad cuppa joe. Try their s’mores brownie pie or raspberry and white chocolate loaf with their unique carbonated espresso tonic, which is light and refreshing year-round.
