5 Long Weekend Travel Looks That Inspire, No Matter Your Destination

We’d wear these chic travel outfits anywhere …

No stranger to an elevated travel look, Margot Robbie was recently spotted touching down in St. Tropez wearing a V-neck chocolate brown knit, turn-up jeans and a leather jacket. This solid airport outfit was given a beach spin via a denim bucket hat. (Plus, the addition of a Chanel handbag certainly ensured it was a luxe affair.)

Whether you’re flying long or short haul, the best outfits lean into comfort first. We’re re-thinking lounge trousers as the iterations on offer now – think smart shapes and boiled wool fabrics – have a polish that appeals. Equally, a lightweight cotton jumper – as seen here – is the perfect layering piece for travelling.

The hero of any travelling look is an oversized bag that is large enough to fit all of your essentials (plus, a flurry of last minute additions) but still tally with your cabin luggage allowance. Even better if it comes in a statement ponyhair texture or a leopard print.

A spring city break calls out for one key item: a great trench coat. Look for a funnel-neck style for a contemporary update and team it with loose black trousers (we love a silk pair), and a trusty woven bag.

A utilitarian denim shirt, teamed with a simple pair of wide leg cropped cream jeans, is a fitting look if you’re heading on the Eurostar – or any train journey, for that matter.
