These are the SS25 season’s new (or pre-loved) carry-alls to covet, with some noticeable common denonimators in these lust-worthy handbag styles.

First up, it’s all about texture. Searches for suede increased by a whopping 570 per cent in the last six months alone on Net-a-Porter, according to fashion director Kay Barron. Designers are reimagining suede as wearable year-round, while XL suede totes still feel nicely structured, even for off-duty dressing.

When it comes to colourways, cinnamon is emerging as a clear favourite. Key styles in the rich, light brown shade were name-checked by style influencers Kim Turkington and Gabrielle Luksaite for spring. The colour of the moment benefits from its finish: lean into the host of mock-croc leathers becoming more luxurious each season.

Lastly, the mood is boho-chic. Artisanal craft details – whether it’s fringing, intrecciato or studded embellishment – are permeating even the minimalists amongst us: Totême’s T-Lock top handle bag has been upgraded in a voguish woven leather.

Below, three style insiders share which bags made it onto their wishlist …

Kim Turkington

“I’m on the hunt for a doctor style, old-school bowling bag. I’ve been in love with the original Miu Miu styles – particularly the Beau corduroy top handle bag – but Me + Em also has an amazing take on the trend, too,” Turkington says. @kimturkington_

Gabrielle Luksaite

“I’ve got my eye on the latest bucket bag from Liffner, a Scandinavian brand that has some of the best suede bags. I love the shape of this one and the buckle detail. It can also be worn many different ways and I think it will be a great addition to my spring wardrobe,” Luksaite says. @gabsluk

Louise Byrne

“I recently bit the bullet and bought a bag I’ve been thinking about getting for a while now. The large Santa Croce from Dragon Diffusion in a bordeaux shade. I’d been thinking about investing in a bag that’s this colour for a while and there’s something about the woven leather that makes it work well all year round,” Byrne says. @louise.byrne_
