Shop owner, author and guesthouse owner Amanda Cutter Brooks looks rather more glamorous when gardening, or in a rainhat, than most; she has “an outfit for every chore”. She epitomises Lady Chatterley chic, her Instagram is a bewitching mix of floral print wallpaper, autumnal walks, lake swims and saunas. She fills vases with armfuls of trailing leaves and foliage to bring the outside in. We don’t have the dream Cotswolds country house, but we can aspire to Cutter Brooks’ mode of glamour. We can be hardy and glamorous at the same time. Gift-wise, think of candles that smell of bonfire smoke, wrapped-up picnics and sturdy flasks for wild swimming.
