IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PUNCHESTOWN
Whether you’re a seasoned racegoer or a first-time visitor looking for a memorable day out, the Punchestown Festival offers something for everyone …
Dust off your best hats, plan your outfits, and clear your diary – the Punchestown Festival is back from April 29 to May 3, promising to be the most exciting and stylish start to the summer season.
Held at the iconic Punchestown Racecourse in Co Kildare, this five-day extravaganza is more than Ireland’s most prestigious National Hunt racing event – it’s a landmark occasion on the Irish social calendar. Each year, the festival draws over 100,000 guests from across Ireland, the UK, Canada, and beyond; all eager to soak up the electric atmosphere, world-class racing, fashion, and gourmet food.

Racing Legends & Rising Stars
At the heart of the Punchestown Festival is top-tier National Hunt racing, with 40 races offering a total of €3.5 million in prize money. Expect to see some of the most renowned names in the sport return to the course, including champion trainer Willie Mullins, and celebrated jockey Rachael Blackmore. Multi-leading rider Paul Townend is also set to be among the favourites, while UK legends Nicky Henderson, and Nico de Boinville, add international competition to the mix.

An Epicurean Extravaganza
The festival’s magic extends far beyond the racetrack. With 17,000 hospitality guests from nearly 800 companies, the social and culinary scene at Punchestown is just as exciting as the races.
Expect locally sourced produce transformed into first-class menus and elegant bites, including thousands of handmade canapés and sweet treats. With twelve bars, six restaurants, and premium options like the Champions Lounge Pavilion, visitors can tailor their day to suit their taste and budget.
Live music, DJ sets, and street performers keep the atmosphere electric throughout the day, while a lively shopping village adds even more to explore between races.

Saturday: The New Social Sweet Spot
Highlight May 3 in your social diary. Fast becoming the most popular day of the festival, Saturday at The Champions Lounge Pavilion is known as the “social sweet spot” – a perfect mix of sport, style, and celebration to kick off the May bank holiday. For €115 per person, guests can enjoy a global grazing-style menu, upbeat DJ sets, and premium seating metres from the track. With the Wicklow Mountains as your backdrop, and the thrill of the races, it’s the ultimate day out for groups, birthdays, hen or stag parties, or anyone seeking a little luxury.

Fashion Meets Sustainability
Fashion has always played a starring role at Punchestown, and this year’s Bollinger Best Dressed Competition brings a new twist with the contemporary “Something Old / Something New” theme. In line with Bollinger’s recent B Corp certification, the focus is on sustainable and meaningful fashion. Attendees are encouraged to mix vintage pieces, borrowed favourites, and eco-conscious purchases in their race day looks.
Taking place from Tuesday to Friday, the competition culminates in the glamour of Ladies Day on May 2. Hosted in the gorgeous Bollinger Garden Style Quarter, the fashion show will be judged by stylists Jess Colivet and Isobel Gleeson, and founder of ethical fashion brand Aoife Ireland, Aoife McNamara.
The winner will walk away with a dream trip to the Bollinger Estate in France, featuring a five-star hotel stay in Paris, and Michelin-starred dining experience – a fashion lover’s fantasy in the chic capital.
