Shearling and teddy-styles have been around forever, but they’ve got a new verve for autumn winter 2022. Why? We’re not quite sure, but they seem zestier than before and – above all – ultra-cosy. (We can also blame Totême’s leather-trimmed shearling jacket for fuelling this explosion.) Double-faced styles, like the aviator ones below from Zara and Mango, feel a bit more retro, while the full-on teddy furs, made for swathing oneself in, give off an I’m-with-the-band demeanour. Personally, the simplicity of a collarless shape appeals and, paired with straight-leg jeans and black cowboy boots, feels just right for now. (At least that’s what Instagram is telling us.)
