What’s On Jade Parfitt’s Beauty Shelf: Model And Founder Of Bath Fashion Festival

Jade Parfitt, British model and founder of Bath Fashion Festival, talks beauty favourites, from red lipstick to supplements …

Key beauty staples …

I love the whole Sam McKnight hair care range, particularly the Lazy Girl Dry Shampoo (from €14), which comes everywhere with me and is perfect for giving a lift to my fine hair, as well as the Cool Girl Superlift Volumising Spray for adding volume. Nars do a great eyebrow pencil (from €24 at Space NK) – I always have one handy. Essie has a great new gel-like nail polish, Essie Gel Couture; the Fairy Tailor shade (€10.45 at www.lookfantastic.ie) is perfect for at-home manicures. I have several tubes of O’Keefe’s Working Hands hand cream (€12) stashed in my handbag, car and coat pocket at all times!

Best beauty investments …

I’m a sucker for a sheet mask, especially before a modelling job or the morning after the night before. My favourites are Hado Labo premium sheet masks (€4 at pharmacies nationwide; www.chtralee.com) – they are a real treat for my skin and worth the investment.

Most recent purchase …

I was in Paris recently for work, and one thing I never miss doing there is the pharmacies for their lovely skincare. I stocked up on Embryolisse moisturisers, Klorane shampoo, and La Rosée body oils and moisturisers.

I’m coveting …

Caroline Hirons’ Skin Rocks. Literally all of the products look incredible, and I’m looking forward to trying The Antioxidant cream cleanser which is packed full of vitamin C, the Retinoid 1 skin treatment, and The Moisturiser. I was a bit late to discover Caroline, but I’m now a huge fan and reading all the reviews I can’t wait to try the new products.

One foundation I swear by …

Nars Sheer Glow (from €33.95 at www.lookfantastic.ie). I have used this foundation for at least five years as it feels so light and it looks like you aren’t wearing anything, but gives great coverage too.

All-time favourite beauty item …

I love a red lipstick, nothing can change your mood more than putting on a great lip. I’ve a few favourites I always come back to; my favourite at the moment is MAC’s Left on Red.” (€30)

My favourite Irish beauty product …

One of my best girlfriends introduced me to a lovely brand I hadn’t heard of before, Aliso organic. I was given the lip scrub and balm (€12.95 each) as a gift, which I’ve been using ever since.

My home fragrance …

One of my current favourite scents is Ordre Cosmique by a lovely brand called To The Fairest (candle, £45stg); they make some gorgeous perfumes too.

Favourite treatment ….

I absolutely love a facial. There’s nothing like that glow when you’ve really treated your skin. I tried the Facegym signature facial in Notting Hill in London recently, and was blown away by all they achieved with massage and sculpting techniques.

My beauty ethos …

I’ve always tried to take care of my pale skin, but I’m ramping it up a bit now that I’m in my mid-forties. For me, that means not only all the best serums, sunscreen and creams I can get my hands on, but it’s also really about wellness too.

I take a Sisterly sachet every day. It’s a fantastic supplement containing everything my body needs and has definitely helped improve my sleep, which in turn leaves my skin clearer and hydrated. I also do lots of yoga and dog walks, and eat as healthy a diet as I can as a busy working mum of three kids.”
