What To Wear This Week: Elegant Bows, Silver Shoes And Clothes To Match Your Table

From festive shoes and elegant bows, to palate-cleansing looks and chic alternatives to partywear …

It’s not surprising that our taste in clothes and tablescapes overlap, and Irish chef Clodagh McKenna is taking that to new heights with a just-launched collaboration with British label Yolke which features both an apron dress and an apron skirt in beautiful linen that co-ordinate with a dahlia print tablecloth and delectable striped napkins, should you wish to take the theme onto your table, too.

A welcome palate cleanser at this time of year, luxe camels and winter whites never fail to look expensive – and extremely chic.

A teddy jacket is the perfect foil for a crisp winter’s day out, especially when paired with an intrecciato-style leather bag (the style popularised by Bottega Veneta) – we’ve spotted similar bag styles by Melie Bianco on Anthropologie.

Not everyone’s version of party wear involves sequins. See Monikh’s oversized blue shirt and high-wiasted trouser combination. The dramatic volume on the sleeve elevates the look.

A mini skirt, tights and mules are a winning combination, as demonstrated by Anne Laure Mais, founder of Musier Paris (which, by the way, does an excellent tailored coat).

Speaking of mini skirts, we also love one paired with sheer tights and cowboy boots. Stick to one colour to keep the look polished.

Silver shoes? Yes, please! Find similar silver Mary Janes here.

Styling your hair in a beauitful bow is a surefire way to add some elegance – and a hint of festive cheer – to your look. We’re equally drooling over Pernille Teisbaek’s camelia-embellished jacket.
